News Design: Metropolis and The Reporter

My first foray into news design was as a designer for Metropolis, where I served as a designer and illustrator before becoming Editor-in-Chief. I continued to serve as the principal designer for the paper, as well as taking on assigning and editing stories.

When Miami Dade College consolidated its three student newspapers—Metropolis, Catalyst, The Falcon Times—into The Reporter, I was chosen as art director. I designed the paper's flag, as well as the entirety of its design. I was the main paginator for the paper's inaugural volume, as well as continuing to do do illustrations and graphics.
